Willows Playtime

Willows Playtime meets Tuesdays during school terms at Willows Presbyterian Church Hall, 9–11am

What: A very social and mildly educational time for 0 - 5 year olds and their mums/carers
Where: Willows Presbyterian Church - 26 Carthew St, Kirwan
When: Tuesday during school terms (see attached sheet for details)
Time: 9am - 11am
Why: So the kids can have fun and interact and the mums can have a chat
Cost: $1 per family per visit

How does a normal morning work?

We start with a bit of free play and optional craft inside.  Around 9.45am, we all meet on the mat for a bible story, followed by morning tea.  A little more freetime and outside play then follows.  At 10.50am, we finish our morning with a few songs. 

What should I bring?

$1, a drink bottle and a hat for your child.  Morning Tea will be provided for you and your child.  Feel free to also bring anything you think might contribute to the day’s theme (e.g. bring your child’s favourite ball on ball day, wear green on green day)

Can I come if I don’t go to Willows Presbyterian Church?

Absolutely!

What about insurance?  Are we connected to the Queensland Playgroup Assoc.?

Insurance is covered by the church’s policy, so there is no need to belong to the QPA and pay fees to them.

Who runs Willows Presbyterian Playtime?

It’s run by a small group of mums from Willows Pressy Church.  You are welcome to come to Playtime and join in without helping.  However, if you would like to volunteer to help out on the roster (e.g. Morning Tea, Craft Activity, Songs), please see Louise.

What’s the $1 for?

For craft materials and a contribution to the equipment cost.

What else can I be a part of?

Each Wednesday morning, some of the mums get together to study and discuss the Bible.  We would love to have you join us.  Please see Heather for more details.
